Women Only Trucking Course

Women Only Trucking Course at Calhoun Community College in Decatur, Alabama – CDL University LLC

A women only trucking course is being offered at Calhoun Community College, which is located in Decatur, Alabama. We are interested in helping more women become truck drivers; as we all should be.

One reason good reason to support more women in trucking, as stated in this article by The News Courier,

… there are more than 200,000 female truck drivers in the U.S.

The article continues to explain more about the class, and what Calhoun Community College is doing to support women in trucking,

“Calhoun Community College wants to add to that pool by offering a CDL class for women only.”

“Day will classes will be offered from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, from Sept. 4-27 at Calhoun’s Decatur campus. The four-week, 160-hour program will prepare students to pass the written and road tests for Class A or B license.”

Right now, it appears to be a one time class, but if we hear otherwise, we’ll update this post. Here is more information about the class.

CDL University LLC does not currently offer a women only trucking course, but we do offer small class sizes and one part of our school’s philosophy is to support women in trucking.

We are posting this article to do exactly that: to support women in trucking. We applaud the efforts of Calhoun Community College in Decatur, Alabama. Y’all are good people.
